Emma Hambly

Emma Hambly’s work is deeply connected to the natural environment, which she responds to using a range of media, primarily drawing and film photography. Prior to studying painting at Edinburgh College of Art Emma trained and worked as a marine biologist.

Having lived in Devon and Cornwall for most of the last twenty years Emma is now based in Salcombe, and her current works focus on the immediate environment here – the coast around Salcombe, South Sands and Sharptor, and the National Trust garden at Overbeck’s.
